"Twin Houses" shadow house papercut sculpture
“Twin Houses” original paper art piece, perfect for bookshelf, sideboard, or interior nook.
5” tall x 5” wide on tracing paper base. Includes clear plexiglass display stand.
Folds and ships flat.
All handcut card stock paper. Original art, one of a kind.
Very lightweight, cut from four sheets of acid-free Astrobrights card stock, with ink on tracing paper base.
I was an artist-in-residence in Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria, for a month in 2018. I cut the facade from four sheets of card stock paper from direct observation in the street in front of the National Art Academy that I passed each day. I traced the shadows of the sculpture onto a base of tracing paper in ink, forever capturing a singular moment in the sun in this part of the world.
